Volunteering

Volunteering with Last Hope Animal Charity is a rewarding way to make a real difference in the lives of animals in need.

We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and experience levels who share our passion for animal welfare.

If you’re interested in joining our dedicated team and helping animals find happier futures, please complete our Volunteer Application Form and a member of our team will be in touch.

Fostering

Fostering is a lifeline for cats, dogs, and rabbits waiting for their forever homes. Foster carers provide a safe, caring environment where animals can heal and thrive.

Fostering with us is of no financial cost to you! We supply food, bedding and veterinary care. All you’ll is need space, time, and commitment to meet their daily needs – feeding, socialising, and medical care.

Each animal has its own specific list of requirements, and a member of our team will go through this with you on your information call. Our team supports you every step of the way to ensure the best care for each foster pet.

Fundraising

Our work depends on the generosity and dedication of volunteers and supporters.

Whether you help organise or attend the many events we have running through out the year, your efforts fund vital vet care, food, and shelter for animals in need.

No experience required, just a love for animals and a willingness to make a difference. Join us and be part of a caring community working to give every animal a second chance.

TRANSPORT

Transport volunteers help move animals safely between vets or collect animals in distress. If you have a reliable vehicle and some spare time, you can play a key role in our rescue work.

We provide guidance to make every journey comfortable and secure for the animals. Your support helps us get pets the care and homes they deserve.

TNR (Trap – Neuter – Return)

Our TNR volunteers play a key role in helping control the stray and feral cat population.

This vital work involves helping to set traps and giving advice and support to the public that need our help controlling cat colonies. It’s hands-on, rewarding work that truly makes a difference.

If you’re passionate about helping community cats, we’d love to have you on the team.

Bottle Feeding

Every year in Ireland, animal rescues are overwhelmed with newborn kittens who are too young to survive without round-the-clock bottle feeding, warmth, and care.

At Last Hope Animal Charity, we rely on dedicated foster volunteers to step in during those critical early weeks. Bottle feeding takes commitment, but it gives kittens a fighting chance, eases pressure on shelters, and helps them grow into confident, adoptable cats.

Full training, supplies, and support are provided. If you have a little time and a warm home, you could help save a tiny life.
