Last Hope Animal Charity cannot guarantee that animal listings will always be completely current.

12. Animals on Trial

During a trial adoption period:

  • personal details of the potential adopter will be held during the trial process
  • the trial period will be agreed before the trial begins
  • the full adoption fee must be paid at the start of the trial

The potential adopter assumes full responsibility for the animal during the trial period, including food, care and general welfare.

Animals must be treated humanely at all times and must not be used for:

  • breeding
  • fighting
  • aggressive behaviour training

If the trial is unsuccessful, the animal must be returned to Last Hope Animal Charity and the adoption fee will be refunded.

Animals adopted through Last Hope Animal Charity must be kept as companion animals and must not be abandoned, sold, transferred, or surrendered to another organisation without contacting the charity first.

The charity reserves the right to conduct follow-up checks to ensure the animal’s welfare.

If credible concerns arise regarding mistreatment or breach of the adoption agreement, the charity may investigate and may reclaim the animal if necessary.
